Little Rock / Expresso Parking location
In anticipation of the Little Rock canine trail addition (planned for 2022/23), we are grooming Expresso up to the highway and opening the trail to dogs for winter 2021/22, in addition to Richie’s Loop (the dog loop at the main trailhead)
We are plowing a small parking area to access the trail, located about 1/2 way between the main trailhead and the Old Glory parking lot (see map at right). For now, everyone can feel welcome to use this lot to access the Black Jack trail network. Depending on demand, we may give preference to skiers with dogs.
We kindly request all users:
Purchase a pass (or membership) - in advance or online
Park efficiently - we will be exploring the best layout as we go
Ski in control! - Expresso is not suitable for beginners, descending 60 m over 1 km - think Biathlon Connector steep. Keep well to the side when climbing.
Canine policies:
Keep to the designated dog trail (Expresso only).
Flick poo off the trail, or bag it and take it home.
Aggressive dogs and non-socialized dogs are not allowed.
Keep your dog on-leash while in the parking area.
